Lazy Creek Recreation Center - Youth Programs
The Lazy Creek Recreation Center is where kids can find fun activities all-year round. The City of Menifee officially assumed ownership of the Lazy Creek Recreation Center on July 1, 2014. Originally, build as a homeowner's clubhouse, the building was turned into the County of Riverside Lazy Creek Recreation Center and opened in 1989 with a few programs and classes. Today, the City of Menifee offers a variety of programs, camps, and events year-round for all ages to enjoy!

The Tiny Tots Program is filled with hands-on activities that give children the opportunity to explore their sensory awareness through a variety of indoor/outdoor experiences. Program activities include games, art, singing, stories, and more!
- After School Adventures Program (See flyer)
The After School Adventures Program (ASAP) provides a safe environment for school-aged participants to build their self-esteem through a variety of recreational activities, arts and crafts, games, enrichment activities and homework assistance. Programming begins daily at 2:00 p.m. and ends at 5:00 p.m. (Wednesdays 12:30 to 5:00 p.m.)
- Wee Folks
Wee Folks (Parent and Me) Program offers an opportunity for parents/caregivers to become partners in their child's learning experiences. Activities are based on the understanding that children learn best when they are having fun! The group setting, with its wide variety of activities, provides a place for children to explore their world while enhancing their social skills. Program activities include: art, dramatic play, music as well as fine and gross motor activities. Ages 2 to 5. Fees due at time of enrollment.
Camps - Summer Adventure Camp (See flyer)
Summer adventure camp is designed to provide children ages 6 to 12 years old with a safe, supervised and positive environment. Campers will have the opportunity to meet new friends and explore a variety of new ideas through exciting themed activities, arts & crafts, water activities, active gaming, outdoor fun, competitions and sports. Excursions are included in session fees! Lunch is not included. Early Drop-Off and Late Pick-Up available for an additional fee. Camp will be led by highly qualified and CPR/AED certified City of Menifee Community Services Leaders.

Each summer the City of Menifee goes on eight trips designed to excite, engage and challenge young adventure seekers! Excursions are open to all residents ages 6+, not exclusively for camp participants. Excursins are chaperoned by CPR/AED certified City Staff: NOTE: Excursion fee is for non-camp participants only. Excursions are included with Summer Adventure Camp registration fee. Lunch is not included unless otherwise noted.

Cam features games, art, singing, stories, water play, and more! Limited space available on a first-come, first serve basis. Lunch is not included, please bring a healthy snack. Summer Camp will be led by highly qualified and CPR/AED certified City of Menifee Staff.
- Spring Break Camp
Come enjoy a week of fun-filled recreational activities during Spring Break! Children will enjoy a variety of recreational activities such as arts and crafts, group games and sports. Snack will be provided. Parents must provide lunch daily.
- Open House
Bring the kids and have some fun at our annual Lazy Creek Recreation Center Open House! The entire family will enjoy arts & crafts, program demonstrations, and organized activities. Learn about upcoming events and programs offered throughout the city. Light refreshments will be provided.

Join us for a Kids Holiday Workshop where the kids play holiday-themed games and make and take home various crafts, ornaments and gifts.

Leaders in Training(See flyer)
High School students looking to complete community services hours will have plenty of opportunities with the Leaders in Training Program! Sign up as a Leader in Training and you will receive emails throughout the year with various volunteer opportunities for City of Menifee events. Ongoing volunteer opportunities are also available for the Lazy Creek Recreation Center After School Program, Summer Camp, Spring Camp, and Tiny Tots Program.
