Roles and Responsibilities

The role of the Community Development Department is to implement the City’s vision and goals for community development and land use as established in the General Plan and Development Code.

Responsibilities include a wide range of activities ranging from processing residential, commercial and industrial land use requests/applications, environmental review and long range planning of the community by way of preparing and updating the General Plan and Development Code.

Community Development Services
For new submittals:
Please submit applications through email or utilize our Menifee Permit Portal for select permits. 

The Community Development Department encourages electronic submittals. If only hard copies are available, please coordinate with staff on sending applications to City Hall or visit City Hall during regular counter hours (Monday-Friday, 8am to 5pm).
