The City has project and construction updates to share with the community:
Murrieta Road – Near Newport Road
EMWD continues to perform night-time work on their Murrieta Road Transmission Pipeline Project. Full lane closures may be in place between the hours of 9 p.m. and 5 a.m. at the intersection of Murrieta and Newport Roads. Work at this location is expected to continue for several weeks before continuing south on Murrieta Road.

Palomar Road at Matthews Road (Case Road) – Storm Drain Improvements
Palomar Road has reopened. Future updates will be provided when construction resumes.
Goetz Road - North of Kabian Park – SCE Utility Undergrounding Project
SCE’s contractor work continues with traffic control occurring intermittently as the project progresses.
Menifee Road Improvements – North of Matthews Road
Lane closures and traffic delays in this area will continue intermittently to support construction activity.
Peacock Place Community Resurfacing – Capital Improvement Program (CIP) Project
Construction continues with the contractor performing asphalt restoration. Notices of travel access and temporary parking limitations will be posted as necessary in the community as the work progresses.
Murrieta Road and Sun City Boulevard – Traffic Signal Improvements – Capital Improvement Program (CIP) Project
This project is currently under construction at the intersection of Murrieta Road and Sun City Boulevard. Lane closures and detours will be posted as work alternates on corner locations for the project. Project work is expected to continue through July 2022.
(NEW) Sumac Ridge Utility Work – Scott Road between Menifee Road and Briggs Road
Utility connections to support the upcoming Sumac Ridge residential development will be occurring on Scott Road between Menifee and Briggs Roads. Intermittent traffic control will be in place on Scott Road and drivers should expect occasional delays in this area.
