[ARCHIVED] Nomination Period Now Open for Menifee City Council Candidates

Menifee residents interested in representing District 2 or District 4 as a City Councilmember can now schedule an appointment with the City Clerk to obtain their nomination papers to qualify for the ballot for the November 2022 General Election. For reference, a map of the City Council districts is available on the City of Menifee website at

To qualify as a candidate, applicants must reside and be registered to vote within the district for which they are seeking to run for office.

The nomination period for these offices opens today, July 18, and closes on Friday, August 12 at 5 p.m. If nomination papers for an incumbent officer eligible for reelection are not filed by August 12, the registered voters in that district shall have until Wednesday, August 17 to nominate candidates other than the person who is the incumbent for that elective office. Both District 2 and District 4 positions will serve for a full term of four years.

To schedule an appointment with the City Clerk to obtain nomination papers, please email Stephanie Roseen at or call (951) 672-6777. For more information regarding the City of Menifee General Municipal Election, please visit the City’s website at
