[ARCHIVED] Help Still Available Through the City of Menifee's Rental and Mortgage Assistance Grant Program

Menifee residents still struggling due to COVID-19 financial impacts may be eligible to receive monetary relief through the City of Menifee’s Rental and Mortgage Assistance Grant Program (RMAG). 

RMAG provides rental and mortgage assistance grants to low- and moderate-income individuals and families economically impacted during the COVID-19 pandemic through job loss, furlough, or reduction in hours or pay. The program will cover past due rent or mortgage payments as a one-time grant – up to a maximum of $9,000 per household – with a direct payment to the landlord or homeowners’ mortgage servicer. The program is free and the funds do not need to be repaid. 

To qualify for RMAG, applicants must be a Menifee resident, must not have received assistance from any other source during the same time period, and be able to demonstrate that they have an inability to pay rent or mortgage due to a temporary job loss, reduced work hours or other income hardship caused by COVID-19. Additionally, applicants must have a household income at or below 80% of the area median income as shown below:
