[ARCHIVED] Menifee Street Project and Construction Updates - Week of February 20, 2023

The City has project and construction updates to share with the community:

Holland Road Overpass – City Capital Improvement Project

The City has begun construction work related to the Holland Road Overpass project. Holland Road between Hanover Road and Antelope Road will remain closed for the duration of the project, which is expected to last 18 months. Menifee Road Improvement Project – City Capital Improvement Project

The City’s Capital Improvement Project on Menifee Road between Holland Road and Camino Cristal is currently in active construction. Work has begun on the medians and is expected to continue through mid-March. Traffic control will be in place during construction, but travel will be open in all directions.

Cherry Hills Boulevard – Communications Utility Work

Mediacom has completed utility installation work within the roadway on Cherry Hills Boulevard between Bradley Road and Sun City Boulevard. Asphalt repairs will be scheduled in the upcoming weeks. Traffic control will be in place during the active project phases.

Garbani Road and Menifee Road – Traffic Signal Improvements

Traffic signal improvement work continues for this project. Temporary traffic control is expected to remain in place as necessary through February 2023.

McCall Square Traffic Signal

Work continues on the traffic signal and median at McCall Boulevard and Ranch Road as part of the McCall Square project. The construction schedule for this project has been extended and is now expected to continue through April 2023. Traffic control will remain in place for the duration of the project.

Lazy Creek and Sun City Boulevard Pedestrian Improvement Project

The City has completed the work in the Lazy Creek neighborhood. Work in the area of Sun City Boulevard is expected to continue through the end of this month. Traffic control will be in place at various locations as necessary.

SoCal Gas Company – Gas Line Installation Project

SoCal Gas Company will continue the installation of new pipeline infrastructure in the vicinity of Evans Road and Lazy Creek Road. Lane closures will remain in place for the next several months to support the project.

Matthews Road Closed at Menifee Road - SoCal Gas Company Work

Matthews Road will be closed at Menifee Road during daytime hours while SoCal Gas Company constructs improvements. Work is expected to continue through mid-March 2023. Traffic control will be in place during active construction.
