Menifee Street Project and Construction Updates - Week of August 14, 2023
Holland Road Overpass – City Capital Improvement Project
The City is actively performing work related to the Holland Road Overpass project. Holland Road between Hanover Lane and Antelope Road will remain closed for the duration of the project, which is expected to last 17 months. *NEW* City Slurry Seal Projects - Capital Improvement Project
The City will begin resurfacing various residential roadways throughout the City beginning the week of Monday, August 14. Impacted residents will be notified ahead of scheduled work and “no parking” signs will be posted on streets 72 hours prior to working beginning. SCE Work on Menifee Road - Newport to Holland
Southern California Edison (SCE) will complete work at the intersection of Newport Road and Menifee Road by mid-August. Work will continue in the landscaped right-of-way along Menifee Road between Newport Road and Holland Road with minimal impact to traffic flow. Traffic control will be in place if necessary, but is not expected to be needed for the duration of the project. Completion of the entire project is expected by the end of August 2023.
Normandy Road Street Improvements - Capital Improvement Project
The City has completed the construction of the pedestrian access improvements along Normandy Road over Salt Creek. Traffic lanes are now open in all directions.
School Zone Signs and Marking Refresh
The City’s Public Works Street Maintenance crews will begin work at Paloma Valley High School, Evans Ranch Elementary, Santa Rosa Academy, and Chester Morrison Elementary the week of Monday, August 14. Traffic impacts are expected to be minor; however, motorists should avoid areas with wet paint signage. Work locations will continue to be updated weekly.
Murrieta Road Improvements - Capital Improvement Project
The City’s roadway improvement project is nearing completion on Murrieta Road with final striping expected to be completed by Friday, August 18. Traffic lanes will be reduced to one lane in each direction as needed, with intermittent traffic control in place along Murrieta Road from the Salt Creek channel to San Quintin Drive.
Romoland Grid Resurfacing - Capital Improvement Project
The City will begin the slurry phase of the resurfacing project in the area of Jackson Avenue, Ethanac Road east of Sherman Road, the week of August 14. Lane closures and detours are expected to be in place through the end of August 2023.
