The State of California recently announced two new programs to help small businesses.
The Main Street Hiring Tax Credit authorizes $100 million in hiring tax credit for qualified small businesses. The credit is equal to $1,000 per qualified employee, up to $100,000 for each small business employer. Application are now open. The State also launched the California Rebuilding Fund to help State’s smallest businesses protect their California dream. The California Rebuilding Fund will support California’s small businesses by offering flexible, affordable capital and free advisory services through community-based lenders.
