[ARCHIVED] Menifee Mayor Participates in “Mayor’s Challenge for Kids"

Mayor Bill Zimmerman invites the Menifee community to enjoy a little outdoor exercise together, all while supporting the Boys and Girls Clubs of Inland Valley. Mayor Zimmerman is partnering with Perris Mayor Michael Vargas to support the "2021 Mayor’s Challenge for Kids", which encourages residents to get outdoors and walk, run, or bike a 5k, 10k, or half-marathon.

Participants can complete their preferred activity and distance at the time and place of their choosing between May 8 - May 16. It’s a great way to motivate the entire family to get moving and enjoy one of Menifee’s excellent local parks and trails.

Mayor Zimmerman is a founding board member of Menifee's Boys & Girls Club, whose mission is to provide a safe, positive and affordable place for children, especially those who are at risk to reach their full potential as caring, productive citizens.

"Let's join together to support this wonderful program that benefits so many families every year," said Mayor Zimmerman.

Registration is free, but there are opportunities to raise funds for the local Boys & Girls Clubs by setting up an individual or team fundraising page to raise money for youth programs at the Boys & Girls Clubs of Inland Valley.
