On July 7, Menifee City Council will review a list of delinquent solid waste collection accounts to be submitted to the County Auditor-Controller’s office to be rolled onto the property’s annual tax bill. The accounts on the list are those that carried over a delinquent balance from last year (2020) that is still outstanding. In April of 2021, Waste Management mailed letters to these properties, which notified owners that their delinquent charges, as well as penalties and interest, would be be rolled onto their annual tax bill. The original deadline to settle bills is July 1; however, the City Council meeting was postponed, providing additional time for customers to make payments.

The current and final deadline to resolve delinquent accounts to avoid having charges and applicable penalties rolled onto the property tax bill is now July 21, 2021. Customers are encouraged to contact Waste Management to settle delinquent accounts prior to this date.
