The City of Menifee is thrilled to announce Shella Care as their July Business Spotlight, a program that showcases local businesses that go above and beyond the call of business, fosters pride in Menifee’s thriving business community, and promotes diversity in Menifee’s economy.
Shella Care, established in 2004, provides in-home personal care, and long-term care in a family friendly environment. Today “Shella” serves families and individuals with the comprehensive assistance needed to remain in their homes as they work through being affected by disabilities or functional needs in their own time of need.
Shella Care was named after Shelton and Della Foster who spent their lives assisting their daughter Debbie through multiple disabilities. Shella Care provides assistance with meal preparation and clean-up, personal hygiene, bathing, dressing, transportation and more. Shella Care currently has over 750 clients and employs over 400 employees in four counties.
In addition to the honorable service Shella Care provides, they also launched the Shella Foundation, a nonprofit that provides comprehensive care management and assistance in all aspects of personal care, including financial assistance, grants, and resources to individuals and families affected by disabilities or functional needs.
Shella Care is being recognized for their generosity within the Menifee community. Shella Care has supported many local organizations and charities with assistance, generosity, and volunteers, including but not limited to: the Menifee Valley Community Cupboard, Boys and Girls club of Menifee Valley, Storm baseball stadium “Disability Awareness Day,” Special Olympics Southern California, Temecula Law Enforcement Torch Run, Interfaith Community Council’s Thanksgiving Dinner, El Modena Resource Community Center, SWAG and Interfaith Council’s support of local domestic violence shelter, Inland Regional Center, Menifee Patriots Cup Golf Tournament and more. Shella Care is also a proud member of the Menifee Valley Chamber of Commerce.
